Helping you to help yourself in a drug free way

Drug Free Health Care is a natural health care business that was set up by Diana Church, in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England, in 1987. At first, the business was a clinic, with Diana as the sole practitioner, using nutritional therapy as a way of helping people with their health problems. She called her practice "Drug Free Health Care" because she was offering help to those who wanted to approach their health in a natural way, rather than taking unnecessary drugs.

In 1988, a friend introduced her to Kinesiology as a means of testing clients for food reactions, without the need for blood sampling. Diana's intention was to go to the one weekend course to keep her friend company. Frankly, her pharmacy background was making her very sceptical about the efficacy, never mind the usefulness, of such a tool in her practice.

However, whilst attending that one weekend, Diana's eyes were opened to the benefits of Kinesiology, not just for the food testing, but also for balancing the body and helping muscles to work better. She was so fascinated that she went on to complete the whole course with Brian Butler's Academy of Systematic Kinesiology and found its application extremely helpful in her practice.

Diana began a quest - to understand the basic reasons why the body ceases to function as it should and why symptoms occur in the body, so that she could find the best natural ways of dealing with them without the use of drugs. Throughout this time, she ran a successful full-time practice, not only treating her clients with the Kinesiology, and using it to help with the nutritional therapy, but also trying to give her clients the understanding and the tools they needed to take charge of their own health in a drug free way.

This led naturally on to Diana wanting to help others to help others. In the early 1990's she began to teach her own courses in Systematic Kinesiology and Nutritional Therapy. These were both for general public wanting to learn how to help themselves, friends and family, as well as for existing qualified practitioners who wished to use what she did in her clinic.

In 1995, for personal reasons, Diana moved to the Malvern area to live, but she still holds regular clinics at her home address. In 2001, she was offered a permanent consulting room at Mortlake, London SW14, where she practices regularly, too. Diana also delivers talks and workshops for groups who are interested in her work and is willing to travel further afield in order to do more.

The running and development of "Drug Free Health Care" has been a process for Diana, with help from many people along the way, both on the technical and the administrative sides of the business. She would like to thank all those who were part of this, and are part of this ongoing process.

"Drug Free Health Care" has expanded from talking to and treating individual clients on a one to one basis, to talking to and teaching groups of people, and finally to "wanting to get the word out there" to as many people as possible, hence this website! Diana aims to continue to expand her knowledge, as she believes there is always something else to learn, but feels that she has now put together a package that is, in itself, valuable enough to share with others on a broad scale.
